FREQUENTLY ASKED

Questions we hear most

Weekly charter rates typically range from €15,000 for a smaller sailing yacht to €150,000+ for a large motor yacht in peak season. The Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) — usually 25–35% of the base fee — covers fuel, food, marina fees and other running costs during the charter.

APA stands for Advance Provisioning Allowance. It is typically 25–35% of the base charter fee and covers all running expenses during your trip: fuel, food and beverages, marina fees, port charges, and any additional requests. At the end of the charter you receive a full accounting and any unspent balance is returned.

No. All crewed charters include a licensed captain and professional crew. You are a guest on board — no qualifications or experience are necessary. If you enjoy sailing and want to get involved, most captains are happy to let you take the helm.

Our operational headquarters is in Palma de Mallorca, at the heart of the Western Mediterranean charter market. Our parent company, the Swisspath Group, is headquartered in Zürich, Switzerland.

For peak-season destinations (Mediterranean in July–August, Caribbean over Christmas/New Year) we recommend booking 6–12 months ahead. For shoulder-season or off-peak cruising, 4–8 weeks is often sufficient, though the best yachts still book up quickly.

Yes. A well-managed charter programme can generate €300,000–€600,000 or more per season depending on the yacht. We handle all marketing, guest vetting, crew management, compliance and bookings — you simply define the weeks you wish to keep for personal use.

Our full-service management covers crew recruitment and payroll, technical maintenance and refit supervision, regulatory compliance (flag state, class, ISM), insurance, financial reporting, and berth/marina management. In short — everything required to keep your yacht safe, legal and ready to enjoy.

Yes. All our charter agreements follow the standard MYBA terms, the industry-wide contract recognised by owners, captains and charterers alike. This ensures transparent pricing, clear cancellation terms, and full protection for both parties.
