A few things you won't find about Jack on LinkedIn

Favourite Sailing Ground
The Cyclades, Greece. Greece is a place that you really have to feel to understand its magic, and nowhere is that mystical aspect of its character stronger, than in the Cyclades. Here, honeyed light spills over islands on the horizon and the historic grandeur of the Aegean is revealed. Sailing here is a time machine as marble ruins, small sugar cube fishing villages, secluded olive groves and hidden coves all feel as they might have for 100’s of years. And that’s not even to mention the food.
What keeps your busy outside of work?
A serial Munro-bagger, If I'm not out cycling, camping, or hiking in the Scottish highlands, you can find me at home with a good book (or, more likely, busy cooking for friends or family). .........For anyone not from Scotland, the Munros are a collection of 282 and apparently Jack is attempting to climb them all.
Fun Fact
I worked in the Grenadines running charters from St Vincent and Bequia, earning the name “Captain Jack” amongst locals and guests alike. A childhood full-circle moment came arriving at Walli-labou where Jack Sparrow’s boat famously sinks as he steps ashore (thankfully, with better results). Along the way, I became friends with Basil of Mustique’s Basil’s Bar and joined his Blues Festival tour of the Grenadines —still easily one of my favourite live music experiences
Go to Indulgence
Pintrox/Tapas all day with Canas and Friends. Ending on a Basque cheesecake and a bottle of Txakoli.
Ideal Day off
Wild swim first thing, quick coffee and set off on adventure somewhere new. Leisurely dinner somewhere quiet I can watch the world go by before a little music and perhaps some dancing.
Favourite Destination
Vancouver Island. Mountains, forest, and sea all collide, scattered over thousands of uninhabited islands and gorgeous bays. It’s properly wild, and you feel it, with bears along the shoreline, sea lions and orcas offshore, and anchorages where you can dive off the swim platform and find scallops the size of hockey pucks littered on the seabed below. As an escape for a few weeks it’s hard to beat!
