How far in advance should I book a yacht charter?

We recommend booking at least 3-6 months in advance for peak season (June-August in the Mediterranean). For the most popular yachts and dates, 6-12 months ahead is ideal. Off-season charters can sometimes be arranged at shorter notice.

What is included in the charter price?

The base charter fee includes the yacht, crew, and insurance. Additional costs typically include fuel, provisioning (food and beverages), dockage fees, and the Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA), usually 25-35% of the charter fee, settled against actual expenses at the end of the trip.

Can I customise the itinerary?

Absolutely. Every Swisspath TAG charter is bespoke. Your captain will work with you to design a route that matches your interests, whether that is secluded anchorages, vibrant coastal towns, water sports, or fine dining ashore. Weather and sea conditions may require adjustments.

What size yacht do I need for my group?

Yacht capacity varies from 6 to 36 guests. As a general guide, we recommend one cabin per couple and consider additional space for families with children. Our charter advisors will help match the perfect vessel to your group size and preferences.

Do I need any sailing experience?

None at all. All our charter yachts come with a professional crew including a licensed captain. Your only responsibility is to relax and enjoy the voyage. The crew handles all navigation, anchoring, and safety procedures.

What destinations do you cover?

Swisspath TAG arranges charters across the Mediterranean (Greek Islands, Croatian Coast, French Riviera, Amalfi Coast, Turkey), the Caribbean, and beyond. We also offer seasonal repositioning voyages and transatlantic crossings for the more adventurous.
