Already recognized as one of Croatia’s most distinctive luxury sailing yachts, Rara Avis is being transformed for the next charter season through a major refit that creates a new, enlarged version of the yacht. Originally launched in 2018 Rara Avis has never been treated as a finished project. Year after year, she has been refined, upgraded, and improved by the owner and captain whose ambition has always been simple: to make her better with every season.

This latest refit is the most significant step in that journey so far. With her overall length extended by four meters to 37 m (121,4 ft), Rara Avis will become larger, more spacious, and even more focused on guest comfort. The aft deck is being lengthened to create a new separate sitting area, while the stern will feature an impressive 32 m² (344 ft²) 2-sided hydraulic folding platform designed as a multifunctional space for swimming, relaxing, boarding, and direct connection with the sea.

Based in Split, Croatia, Rara Avis is available for private charter along the Dalmatian coast and islands. She accommodates up to 12 guests in six elegant cabins and, following the refit, will be served by a crew of 7, including an additional hostess dedicated to providing an even more attentive and personalized level of service on board.

Rara Avis 2.0 Experience

The name Rara Avis comes from Latin and means “Rare Bird” - a fitting name for a yacht that stands apart by character, craftsmanship, and spirit. Crafted from modern, high-tech materials and finished with a handmade teak deck and elegant sails, Rara Avis combines the romance of sailing with the comfort of a contemporary luxury yacht. Her spaces are generous, refined, and designed around the rhythm of private charter life: long days at anchor, open-air dining, relaxed time on deck, evenings under the stars, and effortless movement between the yacht and the sea. Following her latest refit, guests will enjoy significantly expanded outdoor areas, especially at the stern. The new aft deck extension creates more space for socializing and relaxation, while the large 2-sided hydraulic folding platform becomes one of the yacht’s defining features. The platform brings guests directly to sea level, creating a spacious private terrace over the Adriatic - perfect for swimming, sunbathing, water sports, or simply enjoying the view from the edge of the sea. The new multifunctional gangway adds another layer of comfort and practicality. It allows guests to board and disembark from several directions and also provides elegant access to the water when the gangway is lowered directly into the sea. Every detail of this transformation has been guided by the same philosophy that has shaped Rara Avis since her first voyage: continuous improvement, greater comfort, and an even deeper connection between guests, yacht, crew, and the Adriatic.

Accommodation

Rara Avis accommodates up to 12 guests in six comfortable and beautifully appointed cabins, each designed to offer privacy, calm, and the feeling of a refined home at sea. 2 VIP Cabins: Two 18 m² cabins with a double bed and en-suite bathroom. 2 Double Cabins: Two 13 m² cabins with double beds and en-suite bathrooms. 2 Twin Cabins: Two 13 m² cabins with twin beds convertible into double beds, each with an en-suite bathroom.

All cabins are air conditioned and include private bathrooms with shower, toilet, hairdryer, toiletries, bath towels, and beach towels. Each cabin is equipped with TV, music system, Wi-Fi, safe box, intercom, wardrobe, 24 V / 220 V electricity, and room service.

Interior

The interior of Rara Avis is designed to feel elegant, spacious, and deeply comfortable. The main salon brings together a generous dining area, stylish bar, and lounge seating in one refined social space, creating an inviting atmosphere for relaxed evenings, indoor dining, or quiet moments away from the sun. The yacht is fully air conditioned throughout guest and crew areas, with separate crew quarters arranged to preserve privacy and ensure smooth service throughout the charter. The salon is equipped with TV, DVD, USB, Bluetooth audio system, Wi-Fi mobile internet connection, and a high-quality audio and video setup. Entertainment options include Nintendo and PlayStation 4, while the yacht’s sound system extends through the main social areas with eight speakers. The galley is fully equipped for high-level onboard service, with ovens, grill, refrigerators, deep freezers, ice makers, and espresso machine, allowing the crew to prepare fresh meals, drinks, and daily refreshments throughout the voyage.
