ARGO, and a Few Perfect Days in Croatia

July 3, 2026

By Karen Martensen, Swisspath | TAG Yachting

I was invited by Touch Adriatic to spend a few days aboard ARGO exploring Croatia the watersports the islands all of it and I'm still thinking about it weeks later.

Split, and First Impressions of ARGO

We arrived early afternoon, and my first proper look at ARGO, all 55 metres of her, tucked into the marina, told me this trip was going to be a good one. Lunch set the tone immediately, relaxed, generous, no airs. A wander through Split's old town later (that bell tower never gets old), then back on board ARGO for sunset cocktails, followed by dinner on Silent World, a beautifully refitted sister yacht moored alongside for the evening. A lovely detour, but ARGO was very much where the rest of the trip, and my heart, stayed.

Pakleni Islands, Water Day, Chef's Table

Day two is the one I keep coming back to. We sailed ARGO out to the Pakleni Islands with breakfast on the move, then dropped anchor for what can only be described as a proper water day, jet skis, Seabobs, Fliteboards, paddleboards, the lot. ARGO's toy garage is genuinely absurd, in the best way.

Lunch was a family-style spread after a presentation from ARGO's chef, the kind of food you don't want to stop eating, and somehow still have room for dinner. The afternoon was earmarked for siesta and more water sports (guess which one most of us chose), followed by a longevity talk from ARGO's owner before dinner at Meneghello. Good food, better conversation.

Hvar, a Wine Lunch, and That Courtyard

Wednesday took us into Hvar for a guided tour of the old town, and then to lunch at Štajun, tucked into a quiet backstreet courtyard just off the main square. Part of the meal was a wine tasting, working through a run of local Dalmatian labels alongside course after course, and it was one of those lunches that runs long in the best way. If you're ever in Hvar, it's worth seeking out.

We rounded out the afternoon with a visit to Maslina Resort, genuinely one of the most beautiful properties I've seen on the island, before heading back to ARGO for a formal dinner on board, followed by, let's just say, considerably less formal fun.

The Crew, The Service, The Whole Thing

What stayed with me most wasn't the toys or the itinerary (though both were exceptional), it was ARGO's crew. Fifteen of them, and every single one anticipating what you needed before you knew you needed it. That's the difference between a beautiful yacht and a beautiful experience, and ARGO has both in spades.

Thank You, Touch Adriatic

A huge thank you to the team at Touch Adriatic for putting together such a thoughtfully paced few days, the balance of activity, downtime, culture and pure indulgence was exactly right. Croatia has a way of reminding you why the Adriatic remains one of the great charter destinations, and ARGO is very much the yacht to see it from. Catch a glimpse of the week on our social post.
