A former Norwegian research vessel that has been tastefully converted into an boutique expedition vessel ideal for exploring the Arctic.
Twelve guests are accommodated in ensuite cabins that offer genuine comfort at the edge of the world. The scale is deliberately intimate, small enough to feel like a private charter, large enough to bring the right people together. With experienced crew on hand throughout, every aspect of the journey is carefully considered.
The open-plan panoramic lounge and restaurant sit at the heart of the vessel, a warm and sociable space where the views outside are as much a part of the experience as what is happening within. On deck, a sauna and hot pool offer a remarkable contrast, steam rising into Arctic air, the silence of the wilderness all around. VIKINGFJORD is also one of the most environmentally responsible small expedition vessels operating in the Arctic, with new systems delivering a 95% reduction in NOx emissions alongside meaningful gains in fuel efficiency. Exploring responsibly has never felt so considered.
Two Zodiacs provide the means to go further still, landing on remote shores, threading through iceberg fields, and getting closer to wildlife than any other format of travel allows. An ice-strengthened hull allows VIKINGFJORD to navigate pack ice with confidence, opening coastlines and channels that remain entirely beyond reach for conventional vessels. A large mud room and ample equipment storage ensure that every excursion begins and ends without fuss. The Arctic is waiting.
